Seriously. So upsetting to see there's clearly something amiss that can't be particularly named... Truly sad.

FOR REAL! I had maybe one healthy day between my last cold and this flu!
I got influenza A at Halloween. Now I'm down with influenza B. This is not my preferred sort of collecting!

Hong Kong Disneyland was celebrating its 10th anniversary the first time I went there, which feels like yesterday. This is breaking my brain.
You mean DISNEY LEGEND OPRAH™? 🙄
I expect a common GenX/Millennial childhood experience is having VHS tapes from random stuff recorded off TV to watch over and over.
One of ours was Totally Minnie (1988) starring Robert Carradine and Suzanne Somers, and I’ll tell ya: it was a damn DELIGHT every time. 🩷

Happy Lunar New Year! I watched Mulan and then tortured myself, apparently. World Showcase is the only true Disney Legend in this video.
Catholic actor Mark Wahlberg with a cross of ashes on his forehead discusses Lent on the Today Show, with the text banner reading "Mark Wahlberg's 40-Day Challenge"
Happy Mark Wahlberg's 40-Day Challenge Eve to all who celebrate before solemnly observing.
I got a good laugh from a review last night; I'm thinking that may be enough. I did discover that Google Translate translates it as "Roaring Hills," which was also a source of humor.
I simultaneously want to go watch it for unintentional hilarity and don't want to give money to absurdly poor adaptations pandering to modern trends. We shall see where I land. Will definitely be rereading the book either way.
A rundown of ports and attractions from opening year as found in that 100 Years of Magic issue of Disney Magazine and a look at the evolution since then
I think Moana is great and overall more consistent, but nothing in it is as boldly triumphant as the highs of Hunchback. Gargoyles/tweeting and self-referential princess jokes are a draw on the scale of cringe.
Ooh this is tricky. Just rewatched HOND and yeah, that soundtrack is still just stunning. I did feel a little annoyed how much of the singing was staged like live action. "Hellfire" has Esmeralda in flames and the hooded "mea culpa" figures, but Frollo standing there is noticeably less dynamic.
Some of the matte paintings by legendary matte artist Peter Ellenshaw for
20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA (1954)
One of the first feature-length films to be shot in CinemaScope, it meant the paintings had to be very large & shot from distance due to the shallow depth of field.
@matt.horizons.one A very happy birthday to you!
The ending of Home Alone 2 already wrecks me. Thanks, Catherine O'Hara.

Irrational pet peeve: Raoul yelling BRAVO instead of BRAVA after Christine's triumphant performance of "Think of Me" in Phantom of the Opera.
Aww, it makes me smile to find this because a few of you guys tagged me. 💕
I still want this to be a thing so badly. I miss "riding on slow boats past pretty things" as a dominant ride concept terribly.
Reminder from my Twitter in 2021: if you start playing ABBA's "Happy New Year" at 11:59:13, they'll sing you the title at the stroke of midnight.
Just brooding over the idea that this is probably the bean counters' biggest dream. Can't ride? BUY BUY BUY.
