On a real early English polyphony binge at the moment. Just come across Thomas Ashwell’s ‘Missa Ave Maria’ and it is just bonkers!! Especially the Gloria!!!
I think a soft boiled egg sandwich with loads of butter and salt is the best version of an egg sandwich. Especially with one or two anchovies in there 😋😋😋
The names of the 75 composers who contributed a bar to "I Hate Suitcases" for piano, darts and caller.
We performed it on the 8th September and now hope it will be taken up by others!

Seriously, how is Crawley still in the team? I know it’s an age-old question now, but how? One good knock every 20 innings really doesn’t merit a place! I get the aggression, but aggressive openers HAVE to have a good defence. Look at Warner etc.

After writing 5 ensemble pieces on the bounce in the last 18 or so months, I’m excited to be writing 3 solo pieces!! One for theorbo, one for contrabass clarinet & one for soprano sax!
Very nearly finished my latest piece, ‘Flumina’. This has been a HARD piece to write for some reason but I am VERY happy with it! All based on Gombert because Gombert is the best composer ever!

Had more rehearsals with Vivify (my new one-to-a-part ensemble) last night. Nothing gives me a smile quite like singing polyphony around a kitchen table! Our next concert will be coming up soon!!!!
