Scientists at Canadian institutions have long punched well above our weight despite low and stagnant funding. Spending a billion dollars on external recruitment while science here is starving is exactly what Harper got wrong about supporting research excellence in Canada.

Shoot, thanks for pointing it out. It was private while the paper was being reviewed. I’ll switch it to public tomorrow.

We've been studying mechanisms of resilience that protect lysosomes from damage and wrote a review on the topic. We consider lysosomal stress and damage on a spectrum. Please help me share as this is my first post 😀 and I don't have many followers! 🙏 Open Access: www.embopress.org/doi/full/10....

I was thinking the exact same thing. We get most of our TC media from @Wisent. We will switch to @Biobasic for cloning and we have a great relationship with @GénomeProLab in Sherbrooke for all our transgenic flies.

Graphical abstract of the Organelle Profiling paper, showing the workflow:
Endogenously tagged organelle library;
Native IP proteomics;
Data-driven graph clustering;
resulting in a subcellular proteome map with
more than 7,600 proteins localized across 19 subcellular compartments.
Time to share our organelle proteome paper
out in @cellcellpress.bsky.social: doi.org/nzwz
We created a spatial map of human cells using organelle immunoprecipitation at scale.

We developed #RESI (Resolution Enhancement by Sequential Imaging), a #DNAPAINT based single-molecule method that achieves 1-2 Å localization precision and sub-nm resolution using a conventional fluorescence microscope and standard reagents. 1/13

We provide data for 23 RABs and have validated numerous associations. Interestingly, we show a functional relationship between RAB14, the EARP tethering complex, and many others. NSERC and a CRMUS research chair supported this study.

A Proximity MAP of RAB GTPases
RAB GTPases are the most abundant family of small GTPases and regulate multiple aspects of membrane trafficking events, from cargo sorting to vesicle budding, transport, docking, and fusion. To regula...
For my first post on Bluesky, here is our BioID map of RAB GTPases! It was a collective effort from many in the lab initiated by Benoît, Raphaëlle, and Dominique and followed up extensively by Véronique! I'll happily share the associated data if anyone is interested. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
