Second exterminator visit was today. Baits in the basement? Obliterated. Baits in the living room? Nothing. Just caught the mouse eating crumbs off the high chair cushion. Parker's gonna need to deal with an uncomfortable butt until the war is over i guess

Today I think I figured out how it breached the relative containment of our basement, but I still have no clue how we're going to catch this thing short of hiring a mouser.
An exterminator put bait out a week ago but as the war continues, this fucker has broken from his midnight wanderings pattern to coming out and flitting about our living room Sunday afternoon when i was on my couch with a sleeping baby
Then he got to the plants in their safe spot in the bathroom by climbing the shower curtain. The curtain is now in the shower, and all plants are relocated for their safety.
It started with seeing him climbing my drapes to get to my plants, which he dug up and ate the leaves off of. So i moved them and lifted the drapes.
Since the 20th of November, I have been at war.
We have a mouse that has infiltrated the main floor of our house and is slowly driving me insane.
