What comes to mind when you hear "climate change adaptation"? ⛈️ Many think of softened blows from hazards. But when I asked MERL experts on urban nature-based solutions during my PhD, their unexpected answers reshaped my perspective. (doi.org/10.1007/s132...)
My reflections on #COP29 from the ground in #Baku.
1/ The #climatefinance deal: Annex 2 (wealthy) nations pledged "at least $300bn/year" for developing countries by 2035. Far from the $1.3tn/year asked by the Global South, it’s a compromise that feels deeply inadequate to those most vulnerable.
Since I haven't seen one yet, here's a starter pack of scientists actively working in the climate adaptation and resilience space, including researchers as well as climate service providers! 🌎🧪
