I haven't decided if it's age, the lack of sleep for 10 years since my kids were born, or the stress from existential dread these days but yeah I feel it worse too.

Growing up I always would drop everything to watch deer. The flip side is my parents having to replant everything they had been trying to grow for the year.
You should be, that's a fantastic sky! I always try for bright contrasts or even just sparse clouds, but this is a great capture of soft diffuse wispy clouds and the atmosphere of a gentle overcast day. I love the curls in the middle and the fact I can "feel" the weather of this painting.
And I'm going to enjoy seeing your work again here! Really can get tired of your line work and compositions.
Sketch and final.
I don't particularly remember the speakers, screen, or buttons doing much but it had a screen light which was the only way you were going to be able to play on those nighttime drives.
Really great use of reds and I love your handling of the phone cord! Also I'm not sure if I've ever seen one not tangled or backwards twisted halfway down ha ha.
Doom scrolling is so hard to avoid, but if you never encounter community or friends you get lost in the noise. Hopefully it helps you focus on something more helpful!
Your palette and colors do such a wonderful job of capturing the brightness of the outdoors and the atmosphere inside. The contrasts of spaces and light really pull me in on this one, lovely work!
Some older content since I don't have many drawings on here yet. This is Ninenzaka drawn from Google Street View references in 2020 when we couldn't travel.
It's felt a bit slow finding people again, especially as not everyone had an account here when I switched or the same username. Happy to have discovered your account!
The follower spam there seemed a lot more targeted to big accounts while active users ran the gamut. I had a small amount of Threads friends and engaged with that circle, while here I instantly got 100 fake followers with no interaction before I could even make a second post.
Repost of a recent piece from Threads. This was a phone booth I passed in Hakone while my youngest son was melting down. While painting it my oldest son helped point out where my colorblindness was throwing things off. Truely a family effort.
Your use of both blocking colors and line work while lining up and implying forms makes such a wonderful blend of illustration and design. It's simple and clever and just so good!
As a kid I started to date every single picture I drew and at some point I stopped because I thought it was too formal. I can tell you down to the day when anything before 2000 was and after that it's basically by decade. Good for you clearing them out!
A quick painting of bridges I'd been meaning to make from the last time we visited Pasadena. I remember being really impressed by the views and the community, we had a list of shops and restaurants to visit the next time we passed through. Heartbroken for LA.
I like the idea of a new social media site that could be better than the last one, but just creating an empty account got 60+ accounts I probably don't know following me and that feels spammy.
