not laughing at ableism takes zero energy

it’s not virtue signalling it’s not laughing at people’s disabilities it’s really not hard to do. and as a queer disabled person i’m not exactly having the best time either so the last thing i need to see is someone laughing about an ableist joke.

im not saying abbot is the main victim here. he’ll probably not see it and i’m sure he gets ableism all the time. the victim is every other mobility aid user. u laugh at ableism it shows u only respect us as disabled people if u think we earned it. i dont like caitlyn jenner but i wont misgender her

i’m canadian american. my dad could be deported if they undo his naturalization. we have dark humor jokes about that. the problem is that the clap back is ableist. so you’re laughing at ableism. this is an increasingly troubling patter on the left people endorse harm when they think it’s justified

‘i have disabled friends’ i don’t care who you think is trash i don’t like him either. ableism is not about him it’s a principle. ableism isn’t dark humor.
