Session 1 of the Contributed Talks start now! π
First talk: Neural Embedding Alignment Reveals Nonlinear Latent Transformations across Brain Regions by Stephen Keeley
Did you know that you could create hybrids across different neural net architecturesβ*without* updating the weights??
Come check out my poster at the UniReps @unireps.bsky.social workshop at 3:45pm today at #NeurIPS! (Or you can already browse the posters on the wall in 20D throughout the day.) π
I thought this was a fascinating way to motivate model merging: to be able to *interpolate* between model classes, rather than be forced into discrete choices. (models trained on different datasets, models of different sizes, etc.)
"Interpolation and alignment are two sides of the same coin."
Itβs our pleasure to welcome @dmelis.bsky.social from Harvard SEAS to UniReps 2025, presenting βFrom Discrete to Continuous: Interpolating Models, Datasets, and Representations!β ππ
Join us in Ballroom 20D for more exciting discussions on representational alignment!
We now continue with Prof. Nikolaus Kriegeskorte from Columbia University, presenting "Meaningful and Powerful Model Comparisons"!
We are thrilled to announce our first invited talk this morning, featuring Prof. Rose Yu (@yuqirose.bsky.social) from UC San Diego, presenting βFantastic Symmetries and Where to Find Themβ at the UniReps workshop! π€β¨
