Protesting and reporting on the abduction of immigrants is paramount to protecting San Francisco’s status as a sanctuary city. We need San Francisco leaders to show up with urgency for immigrant communities and take action to defend our rights.
Last week, ICE agents in San Francisco pepper-sprayed protesters and a reporter, pulled out batons and tasers, and tackled several people to the ground.

Having a plan in place to deal with ICE is critical to protecting immigrant communities. We thank Supe. Chyanne Chen for introducing this resolution, and the unanimous vote made by the Board to pass it. As a sanctuary city, we can & should be doing more to ensure immigrants feel safe & protected.
