In that way, I could see a lot of controversy in Maldraxxus about how they’re essentially living in the same state of being as they were in mortality; a soul inhabiting a body.

And maybe we’ll explore those themes in my phase. Who knows!

I think the most important distinction is that souls ≠ the bodies they inhabit.

You can eject a soul from its host body (and if they can’t make it back they’re gonna have to restart) but slicing down a Necrolord doesn’t obliterate their soul.

A good soldier is one that keeps coming back!!

I never liked the idea of souls being completely destroyed if they fall in the Shadowlands, so I’m writing headcanons at least for how it functions in Maldraxxus! 👻
