I think the story is the most important thing to convey but the writer’s pov can help convey it.

There is no better feeling as a writer than reaching a final showdown scene, realizing you have a gaping plot issue, then subsequently realizing you can fix it by introducing a spaceship dildo back in chapter 24 and it will work *perfectly*
