Publishing a null result paper is never easy, so I’m grateful the editor and referees recognized its contributions. I’m also honored to have this work included in the EER special issue in memory of Nora Szech. Though I never had the pleasure of meeting her, I deeply admire her impact on the field.
Despite shifts in beliefs, around 1/3 of employers consistently choose AA---suggesting an intrinsic and inelastic preference for advancing female candidates.
In online experiments, we study how employers' demand for Affirmative Action (AA) varies with perceived gender differences in productivity, perceived effects of AA on productivity, or other costs of AA.
