Opinion polls are not elections, nor are they a substitute for elections. The GFA states 'a majority of those voting' and Irish Unity overtook Unionism electorally in 2023.

Partition isn't working. Partition has never worked. If there are concerns about the political system created by the GFA, then the best course of action is to invoke the Border Poll that was agreed under the GFA. Let the people make a decision on their constitutional future.

As an Irish political leader, he was responsible for deaths than any other Irish leader in the 20th century.

Unionist co-operation stops SF’s observer status proposal – Robinson Speaking after a petition of concern resulted in the defeat of a SF proposal for EU observer status for Northern Ireland, DUP Leader Gavin Robinson said…

Almost a decade after the Brexit Referendum, Irish MEPs petitioned the EU to allow observer status for Northern Ireland. Unfortunately, Unionist parties worked reactively to block this opportunity for NI.

If we want proper representation in the EU, we need Irish Unity.

True. There have be incentives to make the transition. BIK didn't used to apply to EVs but that policy was reversed. The EV charger grant was reduced. Solar grants and retrofitting have increased, but we need greater incentives.

Another reason that Ireland needs to prioritise renewable energy, and reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels that are vulnerable to fluctuation.

Valid point. There was a non principled private residence tax some years ago. Consideration should be given to bringing it back.

If people crave holiday homes - they should look at mobile homes rather than property hoarding.

No major British broadsheet newspaper has a full time Belfast correspondent. Northern Ireland doesn't register in British political discourse. It's usually an irrelevance, and occasionally an after thought as Brexit demonstrated.

We are better served by Irish Unity.

This headline is misleading. The proposed street sign is bilingual. It was to be in Irish and English. It is incorrect to refer to it as an 'Irish language street sign'.

Cheering the departure of a unionist is a profoundly illogical approach to saving the Union – yet that’s what’s happening Someone who until recently was a unionist councillor saying Irish unity is β€˜inevitable’ ought to have prompted unionist introspection. Instead, it led to widespread sneering and jeering

Logical arguement here from Sam. Will Unionism listen?

Northern Ireland unemployment fund crisis exposes reliance on British Treasury support - On This Day in 1926 Gift – or loan – from British government to Northern government - February 25 1926

Irrefutable evidence that partition destroyed the previously successful economy in the pre partition north east of Ireland. As early as 1926 the Northern Ireland economy was reliant on the British Treasury, and this has remained the case for 100 years.

Living standards higher in Republic than in NI - report Living standards in the Republic are higher than in Northern Ireland, a new report by the Economic and Social Research Institute has found.

One of the challenges facing those arguing for the continuity of partition, is that living standards in the Republic of Ireland are higher than Northern Ireland. Irish Unity provides a pathway for a better life and better opportunities.

Be wary of those who tell you, that you don't need the legal human rights protection of the ECHR.

If you don't need the legal protection, then why are they trying to remove it?

Cormac Moore: Is it time for Ireland’s football teams to join together? Talks last took place in the 1970s about having just one soccer side on this small island

An internal Irish football dispute on the location of the 1921 IFA Cup semi final, should no longer define governance arrangements or international representative teams. We need to move on from this dispute, and we should have a single team representing all of us.
