Yes! I'm growing a few this year to try and dry for powder. Nothing beats ancho in chili imho.

Test run of the seed germination mats with the FLIR. Can confirm the mats are roughly dog temperature.
I love it! Seeing people grow rare and hot peppers makes my heart happy. What are your favourites to grow?
I found another place that teaches classes, Stained Glass Stuff! It's far from my neighbourhood but I'd love to pick this up again... Should be worth the hike. ๐
My yard can accommodate 5, maybe 6 pepper plants at most, but I grow hundreds. By early summer I'll be offloading them on every friend, neighbour, and co-worker who'll take one (or more). Growing them calms my nerves and as a bonus, I'm helping keep my neighbourhood spicy. ๐ฅ๐ถ๏ธ

There was a time when a local craft club offered stained glass making classes. My creations were janky as heck but I loved doing it and would have improved. Sadly it went out of business but here are the two things I made while I could.
I hear you! I figured I could read two books a month this year. Boy was I mistaken. In all fairness, I could (and should) give up some of my doomscrolling for more reading.

I haven't been there in years but I have only good memories. Hope they're able to preserve it.
A lot of my old favs are closing up these days. I better do my part to make sure the Laff remains immortal.
Good news, I was saved from having to make bad choices. I forgot this stuff that usually goes in my smoothies is actually a creamer. It's pretty decent.
A bottle of Vodkow chocolate-orange cream liqueur.
The kid drank all the milk last night and there's nothing for my coffee. I'm trying to decide what kind of morning I want to have.
The lacrosse field with two players facing off. The score is tied at 13-13.
Two goalie and another player from the Oshawa Firewolves team, because I am endlessly amused by how GIANT the goalies look in all their gear.
For the final night of my birthday week, we went to a Black Bears lacrosse game. What an emotional rollercoaster! I thought the Bears were sunk, but they got four goals in the last three minutes, tying up the score then winning in overtime.

I'm glad to know that strategy worked out for you - gives me some hope! What was it that was causing you stress about getting into it?
4th gym class of the week, but no running! I can run 5k, that's no problem, but I get so gassed the thought of running gives me anxiety. I'm going to try shorter, more frequent runs, and build up so I don't burn myself out. It's hard for me - I can have a very all-or-nothing mindset.

I took the family to an unlit restaurant, Dark Fork. There was no light at all, zero visual input. The food was AMAZING but I'm still not sure what it all was. Not being able to see while being served, trying to figure out if I even got food on my fork, was a strange but fun experience.

A (currently empty) glass 2022 Oktoberfest stein with the Kbeer logo and Wohlsein!
I'm so sad to hear this. โน๏ธ When I lived in that area they were my favs. And I'll never forget that before I went to Oktoberfest in Munich last fall, they were the only brewery in town where I could find a proper stein to practice my stein-holding.
A Dalmatian sleeping on a grey couch.
My running and hiking buddy hasn't been up for it lately. We got concerned when we noticed him coughing, too. It turns out he has a grade 3 or 4 heart murmur. I'm not sure if there's anything we can do about it, but we go to the vet next week. โน๏ธ
That is scary! Hope you're feeling better now.
Nice place and I love seeing the blossoms! It's snowing this morning over here.
So true about stress - nothing tempts me back to old bad habits faster. It's awesome that you never stopped running through it though. ๐ช
Yes!! All the running shoes I find most comfortable end up being just black, so my colourful sock game is strong to balance them out. I have a lot of socks from Outway.
Love your shoe/sock combo! It's cheery.
Aaaw yeah, it's my birthday! It's also Tuesday! Maybe even... taco Tuesday. No crazy plans except to hit the gym for upper body strength class, enjoy this wonderful mushroom-y breakfast my husband made, and enjoy the day.
It's hard to stay mad when looking at those spots. ๐ They kind of pull me in.
Got in a rare Monday lunch hour workout today. I really needed it. I am frustrated as hell lately.
Picture of my dog's spots to help with my nerves lol.

A meal that looks like a cross between a pizza and a taco.
Felt a little faint today, so I made a cheat meal. Flatbread from my favourite local baker House of Pain, pork shoulder that my husband smoked yesterday, beans and veggies, topped with cilantro sprouts and hot sauce made by my neighbour. So much love in this thing.

Guess who thought the farmer's market started at 9 and is now hanging out like a dork till it opens? On the upside, I'm enjoying window surfing at the bars, which are packed to the rafters with hockey fans here at Lansdowne.

Darnit I keep hearing about all these cool events after the fact! ๐ Is there a non-Facebook resource for events like this coming up across Ottawa?
I'm 5'7, so my goal with the amount of muscle I have now is around 140. 9-ish lbs to go.
That's far too many days in a row. โน๏ธ Take care of yourself eh!
A screenshot from the Garmin app showing a workout time of 57 minutes, average heart rate of 139 BPM, and max heart rate of 173 BPM.
I missed my workout yesterday because I had a gnarly stomach ache, and I probably didn't eat enough. HIIT class today hit extra hard. I passed a hockey rink on the way home and wanted to run and slide across it on my belly like a penguin to cool down.
