"Striking a naval base beside the school" (in earlier reports I read "adjacent to a barracks"). The barracks/base is a legitimate target in war and I doubt the US deliberately targeted a school

Probably worst situation now is regime staying in place with deep underground nuclear facilities and the 440 kg of close to weapon grade nuclear material they already have.
