Are you reading through a new console’s manual? Maybe working towards a certification? Or maybe just need time to review audio concepts you are uncertain about? These weekly study meetings aim to make the “sit and read” part of audio learning feel less daunting 💖

Text in image is in both French and English. French text reads: cercle d’étude, hiver 2026, lundis 13h, plus d’info par DM. English text reads: study group, winter 2026, 1pm Mondays, DM for more details.
Making time for quiet study can be challenging for audio learners and practitioners, so let’s take advantage of the slow(ish) winter season to study together!
winter 2026 dates: Jan 19 & 26, Feb 2 & 9. No registration required. Just dm us to let us know you are interested and confirm the location.

LOUD WOMEN DIY Guide #7: How to write your own press release
So you’ve recorded your banging new single or put together an EP that’s ready to set the world on fire (or at least, your local venues). Congratulations! Now, if you want people to hear it, you need to shout about it. And what better way to shout than with a press release? I know, I know. “But Cassie, writing a press release sounds way too professional for a DIY band like us!” Well, friends, strap in. It’s easier than you think, and I’ll show you how to do it in the most punk-rock way possible—without selling your soul or hiring a PR team.

Pls RSVP through the link in our profile. This event is for gender diverse audio learners, practitioners and professionals. No one will be turned away for their gender expression, but we do ask cis men to be respectful of this space built for underrepresented genders in the audio industry.

Image reads “Son COMMUN” and the words “bienvenue/welcome” over a background of purple and blue swirls
son commun was created in 2023 by sound practitioner/independent archivist Mariana Mejía Ahrens, along with some of her close colleagues, out of rage and love…as a way to support each other while existing and working in an audio industry built for/by cis-men
