Hey guys this is not a viable source. Besides the fact that any AI system being used by the government presumably has access to more updated date (I sure hope). Claude is not a person, it can't answer questions about why it did something, it confidently lies, it doesn't have access to other's state.

At least once we had a woman come in panicked saying Deputy Bob said she was going to be arrested, cut to me shouting around the corner to the actual Deputy Bob, who had been working the front all day.

Oh yeah, absolutely. That's also why there's an explicit policy (it might be statewide in VA? I'd have to check) where we do not do any kind of payments over the phone so people can immediately identify what is a scam. But they have been trying to send people to the courthouses for some reason?

I work in a relatively small courthouse and at least 3-4x a month we have someone come in panicking because they're on the receiving end of one of these scams. 😭 They've gotten really good at knowing enough about people to sound legit and scare them.
