i just dont understand because i will say what i mean to say very clearly, only to have my exact words repeated back to me only in a way as if i hadn't said them at all and THEY are explaining the thing to me, and that im wrong?? but i had said it! i dont get it and its so frustrating
i just want to speak clearly and use decisive language but even when i think i do, i again have instances of the person responding in a way that shows they totally misconstrued what i had said. in the end i just stop talking bcuz of the stress of being misunderstood
does anyone else seem to struggle with other people misinterpreting what you say? ive been in therapy for this for like 3 years and keep getting told 'no, its them who is willfully not understanding what you say because they are narcissist' but that cant be the case for each time.
