Peer review would be easier if we stopped treating it like combat with the authors. Results want to be free, and perfect is the enemy of good. Do the data support the conclusions? If so, that’s enough. A paper isn’t a blank slate for projecting your own ideas.

Very excited to share that our paper “Symptom-specific links between internalizing problems and functional connectivity in adolescents: a network analysis” has been published in European Child & Adolescence Psychiatry doi.org/10.1007/s007...
✨New paper✨ in this exploratory study, we used 3T MRS in n = 84 moderate-to-heavy drinking 17 - 22 year olds to examine associations between neurometabolites and age and alcohol use.
My favorite is when reviewers just give you like, 4-5 side quests/new variables to investigate for no reason other than they want to know the answer. Unless I am missing something I should have included for the correctness/integrity of my study........please just let me publish. please.

Despite decades of research there are still no reliable biomarkers for any of the major psychiatric diagnoses. In this now published perspective in Molecular Psychiatry we consolidate evidence from genetics, exposome and neuroimaging research on the potential reasons underlying these failures.
Our latest paper about teen #cannabis use and brain maturation. In a longitudinal cohort (MRI at 13, 15, and 17 years old) we found that cortex was thinner-than-expected during years when teens escalated their cannabis use.

Give Claude a way to verify its work Include tests, screenshots, or expected outputs so Claude can check itself. This is the single highest-leverage thing you can do. Claude performs dramatically better when it can verify its own work, like run tests, compare screenshots, and validate outputs. Without clear success criteria, it might produce something that looks right but actually doesn’t work. You become the only feedback loop, and every mistake requires your attention.
the new best practices for Claude Code doc is really good. they chose their #1 rec very well. every CC user should be typing "Give Claude a way to verify its work" over and over on a typewriter in an empty hotel while their wife thinks they're working on a book
