It is currently my primary OS at home. Hardware support is not bad. My HP laptop isn't officially supported for Linux, but it 95% works. VS Code works well, as does PyCharm. And of course, Emacs. I do mainly Python dev at home. System76 does besoke computers that are nice, but $$.
I use Pop OS at home. Today I learned the diff between Balanced and Performance mode. Under heavy load, balanced averages 2 GHz and burst to 2.6, fans are quiet. Performance averages about 3.8 GHz and burst to about 4.2, with loud fans. This was not rigorous, BTW.
