Finished a script for Lost Planet. Making my own youtube videos has lost a little bit of its luster, but it was nice sit down and slowly work on something over the course of a few months. Also generally avoiding Social Media for the last 6 months of 2025 has been real beneficial, holy shit
Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

One of the most slept-on horror gems by far, this is a wildly inventive game that has a lot of fun with tropes of the genre, playfully incorporating elements of Resident Evil and House of the Dead when combat switches to a first-person affair. It's an absolute steal!

Don't use it, don't accept it, push back against it wherever you can, because this tech is cannibalizing everything you care about, even if you don't know it, it's poisoning something right now that you'll feel the impact of further down the line.

The Bioshock 2 review is currently being edited together, but while doing research for Bioshock Infinite I've discovered quite the trove of information that adds quite a bit more context to the story of 2K Marin. I'm gonna have to rework an entire section of the video now :^)

Majora's Mask is fascinating. Hands down the most unique Zelda game that I've ever played. The three day cycle is probably the most interesting part about it. Unfortunately, I also keep bouncing off of it because of how weird the game is in general. Maybe I'll come back to it one day
Just got around to finally completing Ocarina of Time today. Despite owning it 25ish years ago, I never played past when you got the Master Sword. But after experiencing the journey, I get it why people call it the greatest game of all time. Especially if you played it during your formative years
