Trump expressed that NATO troops "stayed a little off the front lines" during the war in Afghanistan. Thereby, The President has expressed an unfounded disregard for Danish soldiers fighting alongside US troops in the war in Afghanistan. The Danish soldiers, all ranks, not only participated in highly dangerous operations but also suffered heavy casualties, be it soldiers killed in action or returning to Denmark physically and/or mentally wounded. It is also an insult to the families of the soldiers killed in action in Afghanistan. Ambassador, the US Authorities owe an apology and an explanation to those Danish soldiers who have fought in Afghanistan, and not the least, to the bereaved families of the soldiers killed in action. A public intervention from your side along those lines might help in relieving some of the inexcusable pain and grief inflicted by the views expressed by The President of The United States of America.
