Insufficient Sleep Among US Adolescents Across Behavioral Risk Groups
This study examines national trends in insufficient sleep from 2007-2023 and whether trends differed by demographic or behavioral risk subgroups.
A new study shows 77% US teens aren’t getting enough sleep, driven by a worrying rise in <5h sleepers (16%→22%).Its a trend we’re also tracking in the UK with our AdSleep study. @beckcrowley.bsky.social @jakketamminen.bsky.social @alice-gregory.bsky.social jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...

Four core circadian behaviors that improve cardiorespiratory fitness through consistent sleep
Statement of Significance While the importance of sleep duration for optimal health is well established, the role of sleep/wake timing consistency remains
Strong data supporting morning sunlight, time‑restricted eating, cardiovascular activity, and breath work boosted fitness and parasympathetic activity with sleep consistency as a partial pathway 🌅💤💪 @alice-gregory.bsky.social @jakketamminen.bsky.social academic.oup.com/sleep/articl...

Abstract. Initiating and maintaining sleep requires gating of sensory input. Sensory processing differences, such as elevated sensory reactivity, have emer
Interesting infant sleep study 🎓: sensory input reshaped sleep microstructure across the whole nap 😴. Infants with higher sensory reactivity showed reduced slow waves/spindles, especially with background noise. @alice-gregory.bsky.social @jakketamminen.bsky.social academic.oup.com/sleep/advanc...

Self-guided behavioural app helps children with epilepsy sleep earlier | King's College London
An evidence-based web-app helped children with epilepsy to fall asleep on average 16.5 minutes earlier.
Thoughtful work from this trial of a digital sleep intervention for parents of children with epilepsy @kingsioppn.bsky.social. Love the video with Professor Deb Pal which captures the realities for families really well. 💙🌙💤 www.kcl.ac.uk/news/self-gu...
