Well yes, but while MP's don't get donations political parties do.
Tory party donners have bought influence for decades, and labour is not much better (though the new right are worse)
The Lords is less inclined to vote on parties lines as the Whips don't have the influence they do in the commons

The one benefit of an unelected second chamber is the decaying zombies that haunt the upper house don't care about party lines and lobbyist cash to ensure re-election

so once in a while they just do the right thing :)

Some days are good , some days are bad ,
And some days you buy a new frying pan

Time to break some eggs ....

for every word in the final novel , ten words will be written in the liminal space that is the margin....

except of course 'call me Ishmael' was a biblical reference
Ishmael in Melville's novel was not necessarily the narrators name, instead Ishmael in the 1900's was often used as a nick name for social outcasts etc.
so actually 'its not his name'

You can always monetize them specifically to raise money for shelters and the like. Using the things you enjoy making to help bring more goodness into the world is a fabulously generous use of your time on the mudball :)

it is clearly the eight temporal vortexes of the Gallatin model of the universe, based on the 7 heavens and 1 hell, dead or no deal, afterlife system where St Noel of Edmonds gives the souls of the newly deceased a choice whether to stick to the heavenly vortex they have chosen or swap to another

oh and Geraldine is a 'wolf-woman' which is the female equivalent of a 'wolf-man' which is what they called werewolves in early 1920's cinema , before they started wanting to know where they were all the time ....

At one point it included the following lines

β€œIts very Anglo Saxon is Cuthbert”
β€œI have always thought so..”
β€œA bit 9th century Anglo Saxon but what’s a millennia between friends.”

the strange people in my head are quite maddening as neither of them have told me why they are in the well

the second conversation is taking place at the bottom of a well, in a thunderstorm, so a slowly deepening well of impending doom by drowning... The exactly correct place for a gentleman and a lady to exchange first names. It involves a lot of bickering but it is a stressful situation

today at lunch I wrote a second conversation between Miss B and Mr F . they now have first names Geraldine and Cuthbert, I know this because that's part of the present conversation
the first conversation took place in a small interview room below an annex of the natural history museum

yesterday in a vets office, wait for my son I wrote (on my phone) a conversation between two characters (technically three but Perkins was only there to be blamed and to make the tea)
Originally they only had surnames
Miss Bradshaw and Mr F.......
Mr F..... has a name but i need to look it up
