Articles about young men and Reform, as if young men weren’t one of the most left wing demographics in the country. Not realising that a large portion of Vote Leave are literally not alive now. Still thinking the “ohh Jeremy Corbyn” guys are easily dismissed kids instead of parents with mortgages

The opposite of “made up a guy to be mad at”. They made up a guy who is the one guy that votes.

Well-to-do millennials still obviously have middle class class interests, but they are going to be the lodestone of elite opinion for a long time and the state needs to grasp that

It’s been true for a long time - the state still hasn’t grasped that millennials aren’t young any more. They have in some cases adult children themselves, they’re occupying senior leadership positions that lobby the state and they’re also, after boomers, the next largest voter bloc by a country mile

We’re also I think now by virtue of having kids, a bit less concentrated in cities, and in any case, those seats are now up for grabs too

- basically now that Boomers are aging out, well to do older millennials and younger Gen X are suddenly occupying senior roles all over the place, and millennials are also by far the next largest voting generation

There’s definitely been a bit of a change recently. You can suddenly see student loans become A Thing again, decades after the original protests, and the leasehold thing too. The response is to try and swat it away but you can see that they hadn’t anticipated the issues being this annoying -

I’m not sure this is true. Frank Field, Kate Hoey etc were all long standing Labour MPs. Labour has always had, from various angles, whether on crime, immigration, petty bans and restrictions, lots of MPs who aren’t exactly liberals

London on its own had nearly 5 million people in 1880 whilst the whole of the England/Wales/Scotland was about 30m!!!

Can’t believe the “If you don’t like us the fuck off” guys didn’t consider that people don’t like them and will happily fuck off.

This whole thing has been sinister but also really funny.
“How could a plumber also have a nice house??!! 😦”

Do wonder whether this is genuinely personal. Eg some of the Tories genuinely hate the old Farage lot on a personal level

Mad to think that were it not for “fAmIlY vOtInG”, Muslim women would have rebelled against their husbands and voted for the party that openly wants to see them and their relatives deported

The world is divided into nations where, if their leader fucks its good, and others where if their leader fucks it’s icky.
Hungary has chosen their camp.

it's so good to learn that when some people said "destigmatise mental illness" they didn't mean, like, "stop judging people for things they can't help," they meant "i should be allowed to get up late for work"

Lot of messages today congratulating me on our anniversary, with photos and videos of the happiest day of my life.
I know we’re making the right decision in going our separate ways, but they don’t know and for them that closing story is still being told. More painful than I’d anticipated.

Total Welsh victory. Lulled them into a false sense of security. Got them exactly where we wanted for Ireland and Scotland to finish the job.

I’m thinking about the return of student loans long after the original protests, but also about interviews about things like leasehold where the journalist makes the point that this is something they have direct experience of

I think we’re also starting to see the emergence of the next largest generation, millennials, flexing its political clout properly. Whilst they’re not getting as much to fix these issues just yet elite opinion is increasingly going to be guided by well to do (ish) millennials.

The posts of large accounts are merely vessels in which we all grow and play, like a work five a side team generations on that no longer contains any of the original players or employees of that company

Most of the songs were like “Low” by Flo Rida. Which is about as distant now as "I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston (which also played) back in the late 00s. But that was a retro track then whereas most of the music was basically just hits up to maybe 2012/13
