First game of the con done. Had a table of kids which was perfect cause it's a system that is veryuch for children. They had a lot of fun and one of them especially who only started gaming a month ago & was very nervous had a great time

Going to a con in the west of Ireland this weekend. Really excited cause it's my favourite con but also feeling that impostor syndrome because virtually no one has booked a ticket for any of the games I'm running. And it's not cause I don't play 5e. Only about 30% of the games this weekend are 5e

There are so many but if talking Irish tales I loved the story of the death due. A beautiful maiden who was sold into marriage to a cruel old man who tortured her. She eventually died and rose from the grave as a vengeful vampire

I have started relearning my native language in preparation to hopefully do a masters in folklore in 2027. I'm really enjoying it & it's something I've wanted to do for a long time. But when I can confidently speak Irish I'm thinking of running a one shot in Irish. Think it will be a lot of fun 💚

I'm not a fan of the two column layout of text commonly found in books like 5e but it's looking like I'm gonna have to use it for sections of my own core rulebook. Simply trying to more efficiently use the space on the page to reduce page count. I have to grudingly accept it's not that bad

This weekend I am off to the west of Ireland for Athventurecon, this two day con is one of my favourite events. Really great people playing great games with 5e only making about 30% of them. Will be very busy, running three games & on three panels!

Just had a really great session of Fey Earth. My players are only 4th level and where fighting a golem which could drop any of them to zero with two punches!!! But they used an amazing combination of tactics and abilities to effectively disable the creature and defeat it. Was so much fun

I really need to get back into promoting my games. But trying to find the mental bandwidth to do that crap is such a struggle. I'm a game designer, not a marketing exec. I just want to write stories and have people fall in love with them. Is that too much to ask??? 💜

Was really interesting. In the original folklore they could turn invisible, make their hands go flaming got and even summon the spirits of the dead to testify! And I think on some stories they could fly too!!

Tonight my players will fight a golem. Really excited cause I've never used one before. Like everything in Fey Earth it is based on the actual Jewish folklore so quite different to what people are used to. I worked with Jewish consultants on this creature & even found stuff they didn't know about it
