i consider velvet's features to be somewhat chinese because the last person who embodied it is chinese, and so velvet's current body, which reflects how velvet views itself (its "first" body!), has chinese features. but really velvet can be anyone, even your ocs! ... even YOU!

also! ☝️🤓 velvet canonically doesn't have an ethnicity. this is because she is a role in a play— think of her like hamlet, or juliet. they can be played by actors of any race, and velvet was the same! many kinds of people embodied velvet during the ∞ years of the manor's life.

the context for this is. velvet works in an office that travels to different realities in order to contain "abstracts". employees' appearances change to fit the reality they enter... and well, the reality velvet visits this time happens to be. filipino,
