Oh no! I finished reviewing the documents and am not firmly planted in the couch. Ready to watch The Price is Right tomorrow.

Not gonna get better if I’m stressing about these documents all day tomorrow. I can knock them out in a couple hours today and I’m feeling well enough to do so right now.

Unfortunately, we need to get them in to leadership for approval by tomorrow! I’m currently reviewing the drafts so my team can clean them up in the morning. (Doctor didn’t say anything about working today!)

Doctor: Don’t go to work tomorrow.
Me: But it’s grant season!

I’ve been sick basically since I got home from NOLA. Boyfriend is making me go to the doctor. Fine.

Mom’s dad was career military, serving in the Marines then the Air Force.

Dad’s dad was a piano maker at Steinway, then owned a bar in Harlem.

Luckily the changes aren’t major, but what a pain! And we thought we were doing so well getting the app done way ahead of the due date.

One of our federal grants is due next week. My team finalized the documents yesterday so they can go up the bureaucratic chain for approval. Just this morning I received a note from the grants manager that they’ve updated the application guidelines. 😑

My cousin is a teacher in Texas and this happened to a student of hers a couple years ago. She accidentally put a White Claw in her bag thinking it was a Celsius. Such an easy mistake to make when the cans look similar!

I once saw a parking enforcement officer put a ticket on a *city vehicle* parked in front of City Hall. They have no mercy!

I guess not! Half of my team got taken out by it in the middle of grant season and legislative session! 🤧

My usual dumping spot is currently occupied by my yet-to-be-unpacked suitcase! 🫠

I did 3 loads of laundry today, and now they are all on the bed waiting to be folded. Guess I need to get to folding if I want to take to the bed for the evening. Being an adult blows sometimes.

I usually don’t get it, but I knew I was doing too much this year. Planning to take 2027 off and maybe become an every-other-year Mardi Gras visitor.

Caught a stupid cold at Mardi Gras. Taking the remainder of the work day off to rest. My right ear still hasn’t popped from yesterday’s flight back to PDX. 🤧
