Still like how I drew a Black Mage w me hair a few months back. I should give her a drinking buddy one of these months 🍻
Elemental blessings for all this International Women’s Day ☀️
Whenever someone starts talking about the 'free market,' it's a good idea to look around for the many with the gun. He's never far away."

Relatedly, I‘m guesting on @commandzoe.bsky.social’s stream on April 11th and we are drafting Girls Night, my spikey #mtgcube about the joys and terrors of living and dying as a woman. There’s rather a lot of feminist subtext to all the exploitation and corrective violence.
Come check it out!
oh i see we did this because we oppose the iranian government. because if there’s one thing US involvement in the middle east has reliably done these last 40 years, it’s stabilize governments

I believe that there exists a world where we are all warm, and sheltered, and liberated, and healing, a world without prisons or genocide or greed, but if we are ever to reach that world, we must learn how to sit with heartbreak and grief and let it transform rather than immobilize us.
I believe that white queer leftist spaces tend to suffer from a lot of irony poisoning, because of that thing I said earlier about not recognizing the image of power divorced from all-too-familiar cruelties, and I am heartbroken seeing my friends so often contort themselves to deny their own power.
I believe that sharing simple kindness and warm food with your neighbors is an essential component of liberatory worldbuilding, because it allows us to develop localized networks of mutual aid, but this only happens if we allow ourselves to become genuinely vulnerable and curious toward one another.
I believe that pleasure is a necessary axis of any movement for liberation, and women activists from Emma Goldman to Audre Lorde to adrienne maree brown have been shouting that for over a century.
I believe that most of us do not have a clear vision of what power looks like divorced from cruelty and exploitation, and so we have come to fear and resent power in all of its forms (while our political enemies have learned to idolize cruelty as an attainable proxy to their own stymied power).
I believe that climate restabilization can only be achieved if we repatriate land to its indigenous keepers in every stolen place, if we let go of greed and reject capitalism (consumer luxuries and all), and if we repair our wounded relationship to the more-than-human world.
I don't feel like I talk about my political core beliefs very much here on bluesky.
I believe that prison abolition, decolonization, and the dismantling of both capitalism and ethnically-demarcated militarized nation-states are all essential to human dignity and achievable within my lifetime.
no better time to pick up my cosmic yuri mecha novel that asks questions like "can you truly become a hero who fights against oppressive orthodoxy without it changing who you are?" and also "is it okay if your teacher is REALLY really hot?" while it's 10% off for the rest of the week
My favourite part of writing this book was the big unexpected sex scene (obviously) but my second-favourite part was getting to start the book with a map that makes you go "wait, what?" I love it when genre novels start with maps like that so much, but I'd never gotten to do one myself
Thank you so much to the amazing team at All Will Rise for signing our pledge and refusing to publish their game (which you should buy and support!) on Xbox until Microsoft end their complicity in Israel's genocide.
If you're a developer team interested in doing the same, give us an email!
But honestly the biggest thing that has me scared is I don't think we have the same culture of resistance in the uk. There's stuff I see people on the streets about in the US that I think most people would just shrug and accept in the uk
I mean brexit was dumb don't get me wrong, but we literally had programs against brown people last year. The government wants to get rid of jury trials. Trans healthcare is non existent. They're enacting eugenics policy against the disabled

I will not elaborate further in the hopes that holding off on sharing keeps my momentum up to finish
I fear I may be starting a new project for itch.io/jam/go-weave...
