Calls to abolish ICE are correct and necessary, but people need to know that it can’t and won’t stop there. ICE is just one of the latest tools for the preservation of this colonial, white supremacist empire. That’s why Democratic and Republican politicians alike support it. We must abolish the US.
Every single thing about the world that used to bring joy or value is being ruined systematically from the top-down, but the fallout from that, in all its particulars, is being blamed almost exclusively on the people at the bottom with no ability to change it.
When you find that you can’t post what you really mean to say online, that’s a good sign that you need to be finding or making spaces offline where those things that need to be said can be.
This new Losing Our Minds at the End of the World post was my final paper for a class my last semester of grad school in philosophy, spring of 2017. It compares ICE/BP agents with fugitive slave catchers in the 1850s. It’s an important history—infuriating and urgently relevant today.
Observe how journalists are flagrantly distorting facts to support the administration’s narrative and lend their institutions’ legitimacy to this farcical prosecution. The government doesn’t even need to tell them their lines; they know the role they play in empire perfectly well already.
We like to imagine ourselves as civilized and enlightened compared to past generations, with international law and a “rules-based international order,” but the fact remains that if someone has the power and the will to do something, they will do it. The only real solution is to take away that power.
We owe our unshakable solidarity to the people of Venezuela against the shameless, nakedly criminal actions of US imperialists in kidnapping a sovereign nation’s elected leader on fraudulent charges for transparently ideological reasons. The lawless terror of US hegemony threatens the whole world. 🇻🇪
A notorious crime wrapped in the guise of law enforcement, an act of war cloaked in the language of peace, plunderers and thieves celebrating each other as humanitarians and philanthropists—the hypocrisy and terror of US imperialism stand opposed to the survival of our species.

It was a rough year for me and I regret not posting more writing/episodes, but I assure you that is changing in 2026! There are several of each in development right now and I’d expect a new episode no later than a week or two from today. Thank you all for your continued support!
Many more people besides are throwing their lives away carelessly, between road rage deaths and people who refuse to mask or get vaccinated. People eagerly call for this place to be bombed and that place to be invaded, for these people to go without food or water or shelter. People are killing kids for playing pranks or just for pulling into their fucking driveway. Noble deaths, tragic deaths, reckless deaths, hateful deaths, jealous deaths, vengeful deaths, random deaths... Just so much death. How do we create a world that invites our continued participation in life, that nourishes and empowers and allows us to take full advantage of what ought to be the most marvelous gift: a mind from the clay! The heretofore unfeeling, unthinking universe finally being able to enjoy itself. That would be wonderful. I think about such a world often, even though I can barely imagine it.
