I always find our presidential election system a bit crazy, it's the federal and MPs and other politicians, and then some random celebrities, CEOs, unionists etc. appointed by the state parliaments 😳
And it's only four other state elections this year 🥴

Hmm, the whole election campaign made me feel "meh" at best, no option really excites me. I do hope that Greens manage to keep transport ministry so service cuts will be as low as possible. I guess if the polls in the past days turn out to be true, Greens might beat CDU which would be a nice signal
So far only two parties have physically electioneered for me (by putting flyers in my mailbox) - and it's the two currently in government 😅
Oh and one of them tried to talk me while I was running for my train in the rain... bad timing
Considering I have worked for the state transport ministry and the state rail authority, it's funny that only from this Sunday I'll have a say in how they're run, as it'll be my first ever state election :D

30 mins late now after the obligatory train swap at Basel where SBB turned the punctual ICE from Zürich around to punctually form the Interlaken service. That train came 35 mins late from Berlin, meaning its trainset now returns late northwards
