Finished up the sub 4 hour speedrun for RE9 along with not using the blood collector or herbs/med injectors! (First time I was just over 4 hours but managed to go back to a previous save to shave off that time.
Could’ve shaved more time off in the beginning looking back.

Beat RE9! I enjoyed it a fair bit overall! I think my preference is for the classic style so I particularly enjoyed Grace’s sections.
Still liked Leon’s sections a fair bit too, although one part felt like it overstayed its welcome a bit.

Got a bit tricky for some chapters (really started to hate sleep staves and siege tomes by the end, but I should’ve used Restore more often), however the extra exp I could get from more enemies did seem to also have a beneficial effect of making my units stronger overall too.

This time I tried to focus on a set amount of units to maximize their stats and got all units at the final chapter to level 20!
With the larger amount of enemies, Ike got around 70 more wins compared to Difficult. Plus a fair bit more overall for everyone.

Beat Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance on Maniac difficulty! Time was roughly 70 hours, 42 in game.
For comparison, the English version on Difficult was about 50 hours with 35 in game.

Been trying the new F-Zero 99 update with the Meteor Spark event. The new meteor showers have some neat effects, still need to experience a couple more though.

And managed to get first in this race by getting a KO and boosting to first!

I’m hopeful there may be a post soon and perhaps didn’t earlier due to being on the weekend. They did make one about the Frozen Tour in December and other extras from the update.

Would be nice to see more promotion in general about it though including a video on YouTube perhaps.

Oh I see, and I guess that with that we can’t (currently at least) trade with Ruby and Saphire then.

It’s been years since I’ve last played, but what might be limited in this version’s sevii islands btw?

I think this version is fine overall, but the price is higher than I would’ve expected. (Over twice as much as crystal was in Canada, partially with the dollar being weaker than the time of the 3DS.)

Part of me was a bit hopeful for it so that online play could be supported (or if it was added for this version), but seemed unlikely unless a separate app was made so that cloud saves and save states/rewinding couldn’t be used to clone Pokémon.

Yeah I heard about this from a friend and it’s my preferred controller for it now. (Would love if they eventually released a replica controller too sometime)

Only downside overall is lack of select, but you can remap the control stick for the functionality or mess around with other options.

Might be due to the age rating perhaps? Both do show up under the Expansion Pack section at least though. But I am wondering if they’ll add VB to the Classics section with the list of available games.

This is because if you kill one of them on chapter 16, you are capable of visiting the other village to grab the other one (not possible in future games), and then use Aum on the one previously killed off in 24.

First time clearing chapter 10 without alerting the guards!
Had a few redos but then figured out the plan for moving all units through the map undetected. Kind of amusing that the guards aren’t alerted when fighting the boss.

Made it to chapter 25 of Path of Radiance and had to give Grommel the old “eat rock” strategy.

This one appeared a couple years back with the Famicom/Super Famicom Fire Emblem games plus Binding and Blazing Blade.

Also had to leave the game on for 2 hours in order to get the 4+ hour end screen.

Since the gallery only saves on the Japanese version of Fusion and includes extra scenes only in the Japanese version, I’ve been working on that version of the game in particular.

Finished up a Metroid Fusion hard mode playthrough to kick off the new year. Was running just a bit short of a 100% sub 2-hour playthrough so I’ll have to try again later.

Some minor nitpicks here and there (I do wish you could turn off receiving hints like when I just wanted to explore the desert)
A bit more linear than I’d have liked in some areas. And I am a little mixed on some parts of the story but still enjoyed it overall.

I enjoyed riding the bike and sometimes got caught up driving around and collecting crystals too so I pretty much got most of it by the end of the game.
The Federation troopers also grew on me and I have always wanted to see more of them since Prime 2 so I enjoyed their inclusion.
