It’s very discouraging that with how much American innovation is driven by federal research spending, industries and businesses are not speaking out against cuts to federal research and the threats to universities across the country.

And at the same time, the same people are content/thrilled with the United States acting as a bully to the rest of the world…
I’m sure you’re aware but want to emphasize that the impacts will be widespread including the entire university community, university affiliated hospitals, healthcare delivery across the community, K-12 education, local businesses, innovation, and much more…
The economic impacts in Iowa and across the country because of NIH cuts will be much more severe than anyone is expecting…
