The latest from @wwlrttrpg.bsky.social should be hitting your boxes!
ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.
We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.
If you’re a grown ass man in full tactical gear asking a child to show you ID or proof of citizenship you failed at life. Utterly & completely failed. Loser.
If you’re in Chicago and free this upcoming Saturday, you should come to the Chicago Shieldwall for ICE resistance training and (optionally) TTRPGs for charity!

The Fight for $15 movement started in like 2012–its abject lunacy that we’re still not EVEN there.
Two DCC games combined into one!
DCC megatable!!!
Me and friends standing in front of the Gamehole sign.
Gamehole has officially begun!
A table of D&D fun.
Kicking off Gamehole early this year, a little 5e at the Airbnb.
This looks like space program propaganda from the Fallout universe

I considered writing a long carefully constructed argument laying out the harms and limitations of AI, but instead I wrote about being a hater. Only humans can be haters.
Just seeing the first episode, Alien: Earth is a damn treat. So much world-building that feels in line with that first film in a great way, fantastic cast, and exciting stakes established for a (hopefully) great season of TV! Between this and Peacemaker coming back, I am loving TV!
Brain rot to think of this, brain rot to do it, brain rot all the way down
Awesome, throwing that on the list
It’s called “It’s Rough in the Rough”, looks like you can snag it on itch.
Yeah, Chicago
Depending on your location, I’m a big fan of Gamehole in Madison and Gary Con in Lake Geneva
I always find cons to be super invigorating to the creative work! Love ‘em
Do you have any adventures you particularly like? I saw one that details a mini-golf course and my brain exploded with how good an idea that is 😆
Yeah, my wife and I swapped to using reusable zip bags, don’t wanna “give up” several of those to the game, maybe I’ll snag a small bag of the cheap ones!
AI filmmaking and storytelling is punk rock. It’s hip hop. It’s counterculture. It’s a new type of creativity. It’s a new medium. It’s hated by the mainstream film and art establishment. It resists ideology. It ignores gate keeping. It’s uncomfortable. It’s scary. It’s viral. It’s accessible. It’s refreshing. It’s welcoming. It’s here.
AI filmmaking is peeing. It’s pooping. It’s throwing up. It’s a new kind of liquid coming out. It’s hated by the establishment. It’s what goes in the toilet. It’s wet. It’s what’s in the bathroom.
I’m glad it comes in a box, not convinced that’s actually enough, I think I’ll need to get some envelopes or something.
I do have misgivings about the token inventory—not because it’s not cool, it became a big part of the game in a fun resource management way once folks gained some conditions, but in the “now I have like 45 tokens to keep track of in between games”.
Sadly, the spell system didn’t come into play, I was hoping to see it in action. We actually didn’t have any combat either—the players made great choices and navigated the scenario wonderfully. I’m sure we can kill some mice in the future though.
I think I’ll use the book’s methods for generating a quick hex crawl and sprinkle some of the (gorgeous) pamphlet adventures I’ve seen floating around.
Ran Mausritter for the first time last night—very fun game! It’s a great “if you’ve played D&D you get the gist” but also some great changes. We only played a one-shot but the group had fun and…
