That was the last good generation of gaming before SaaS/MTX really took hold. I know most of those titles mentioned above were non-exclusive, multi-platform releases but the 360 was where I was playing 'em. Loved that machine, man 💚
He's probably not wrong. Makes me sad as 360 is up there with PS1 as a contender for my favourite system of all time:

Recently put some WORK in and got gud. It's just Normal Taxi to me now!
Attend "silver screening" (discounts for OAPs) of Conclave. Hear "windchime" 10 mins in, assume it's part of the film. Chime loops. It's a phone alarm! OAPs can't hear it. I can. Can't focus. Can't ask around or it's ME being disruptive. Frustrated. Leave. Still haven't seen Conclave.

Quick screenshot of LUGE 2026 showing me racing some ghosts. It's a vector based arcade game, clean white lines denoting the circuit and a red lozenge racer travelling at speed, and about to crash into a wall because I'm taking a screenshot. Apparently taking that screenshot was too much for my Mac btw, because the screenshot area is still highlighted despite the screenshot moment having passed long ago and I'm gonna have to reset. I want to say it was worth it. I want to believe it was worth it.

Ah yeah I can see how those two things are in tension with one another. If i understand it correctly, the "Daily" leaderboard is the best of your first 3 attempts? Would it work to simply not unlock the restart key until after that time/score is locked-in?

Any chance you might introduce a restart button? Once you get into it you know when a run is off to a bad start very quickly.
