So, does the fact that he got injured while with the DR mean Pena will get accurate scans and diagnosis? Itβs probably best not to let the Astros medical staff anywhere near him.

I had a blast recording this and talking baseball with @mcouill7.bsky.social. @cardscategories.bsky.social is a great listen anytime, so I hope youβll check them out.
This one seems to be hitting folks a little differently from others Iβve written.
I appreciate all the positive feedback so far. Iβve said before β itβs silly I get paid to give myself some counseling and am legitimately surprised anytime folks feel like they also are getting something from it. β€οΈ
Itβs pretty damn cool that I get to sort through stuff with a little euphemism, connect it to fantasy baseball, and then call it βwork.β Would love for you to read it

Hey, I wrote another thing. Would love for you to check it out. Reading it may help you avoid unnecessary dukkha!
Thank you for reading! I always love getting feedback from readers and appreciate you taking a moment to send it.
Congrats, Chris. Very cool
If you donβt make a law to stop this thing thatβs already against the law, we wonβt give you more $ to help you deport people illegally! So there! Mic drop babyβ¦
Also in Alabama. Iβm watching the same process. I was taught Jesus is love, but I see no love being practiced in his name. Was also taught US is the greatest country because we have the freedom to think and speak how we choose. Now, practicing the 1st A is punishable by death β amid cheers. ????
Not gonna lie β I am just silly excited over having my own running series over at @razzball.bsky.social. I get a little personal in it β and I hope I do some pretty decent player analysis too.
Zen and the Art of Fantasy Baseball
Yeah, I was so impacted by the book and the beauty of Jim Casyβs message that I wrote a song about him. I probably couldnβt even remember how it goes now β itβs been years since I even thought about it. If we would all be more like Casy, our world would be in very different condition.
One of the most beautifulβand emotionally wrenchingβbooks ever written. I teach it every year; each year it hits closer to home. Honestly donβt know if I can teach it this year: itβs always been βrealβ but at least there were ways we werenβt yet in Steinbeckβs bleak scenario. We are fully in now.
This is top level
Unfortunately, youβre probably right. Taking a seemingly good dude like Nico in favor of a Ricketts clone is too Ricketts not to happen.
Truly mixed emotions on the Bregman signing. Iβm glad the Cubs arenβt crying βpoorβ for once. But damn. The whole trash can thing is not something I can wipe from my mind. Gross.
Though I suppose an inveterate cheater is better than continuing to play someone who thinks Charlie Kirk is a martyr.
Bichette is younger and doesnβt have the stink of sign gate / trash can lollapalooza on him. Surely a SS, even a limited one, can convert to a serviceable 3B.
Congrats. The first year is a bear, so 150 days is a hell of an accomplishment.
Less than a year ago, I was a simple nerdy baseball fan. Then @razzball.bsky.social gave me a chance to write a few things, which was cool in itself.
In 11 days, 9 months since the ride started, Iβll have my own weekly column:
βZen and the Art of Fantasy Baseball.β At the Razz.
Whoa.
And she did it multiple times just to make everyone sure beyond doubt sheβs not that great with the βAmericanβ (which Iβm sure was spoken by Jesus).
I kind of think their plan is to finish second on good FAs, and then to make sure that itβs widely publicly known that they finished second. This makes it looks like theyβre shopping, but theyβve shown me enough to assume theyβre not really serious about improving the roster in any significant way.
Preach. Iβm there too
At what point do these people become aware of their unironic carnivalesque nature toward every aspect of their public lives? I wonder how ridiculous their private lives look if this is the βsaneβ version they let the public see.
Iβm excited to be able to cheer for Willson Contreras again. The Cardsβ years were tough.
I got an article published at BaseballHQ today. Pretty stoked about that

Thank you!
For me, it was birds. Once I realized I now looked forward to sitting on my porch and watching birds at the feeders (of which we of course have several), I had to come to terms with never being cool or interesting again.
Congrats, 2 years is huge. In many ways, the second year is harder than the first (at least that was my experience). You deserve to be proud!
Watching the Yankees lose never gets old. Just a few more outsβ¦

Shouldnβt the agents be wearing masks?
