What does a painted bike lane look like to a driver staring at their phone? I don't know and they don't either.
Iβve got an idea of what can replace itβ¦ thatβs right, a small cheval
free idea for anyone who wants to run for mayor: policy proposals pegged to Chicago turning 200 in 2037. "Chicago200". like 200 new miles of protected bike lanes. 200 new public bathrooms. 2000 new bus shelters.
This Sunday is International Women's Day, so let's ride!!! Let's celebrate not just women, but also trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive people! This day is for all of us, as we continue to fight for gender justice, autonomy, and liberation. We'll meet up @metriccoffee at 1:00 pm, to enjoy some delicious coffee and pastries as we gather. We'll roll at 2:00 pm and ride 6.5 miles to @marzbrewing for a post-ride hang. Be sure to bring water and snacks, lights, bike locks. We roll at 10-12 mph & stick together. Our rides welcome all forms of micromobility! We'd love to see you roll up on e-bikes, cruisers, cargo bikes full of children & pets, scooters, or other PEVs.
ride with us this sunday :)

Happy birthday Chicago!!! No place Iβd rather call home.
A smiling man stands with his bicycle on a concrete pier along a grey, choppy lakefront under an overcast sky. He has dark skin, locs, and a short beard, and is wearing a black puffer jacket, a grey knit scarf, blue jeans, and tan sneakers. His bicycle is a grey bike featuring drop handlebars, disc brakes, full fenders, and a black rear cargo rack.
A closer shot of the same man leaning over his bike and smiling wide, with the lake behind him and some seagulls blurred on the pier.
βI have days in the summertime when I take the whole day and I just ride through Chicago. I'll start in Uptown or West Ridge and I'll go all the way out to Beverly. And those are some of my favorite rides.β π§΅

Wasn't criticizing yall directly, just pointing out the trend of ppl referring to professional women by their first names (Trump vs Biden vs Kamala).
Not sure why but even the GirlIGuess guide can't avoid the "refer to professional women by first names" habit

did you know that allowing two families to live on a single property in Barrington Hills "will destroy our town"?
They were probably shell-shocked during the open house when so many people showed up to tell them how bad it was
lmfao where was this
Delighted to announce that following the consultation, I'm giving the green light to make Oxford Street traffic-free.

Here it is. The City of Chicago comes out against HB2454. Equivalent of giving the middle finger to any bicyclist who is hurt on roads that may look as if they meant for them (like having a Divvy station) but will find out after that fact they were not an "intended" use and the city is not liable.
Illinois needs to build more housing
