I really had to think long and hard about whether Sims 2 should have taken any of the spots on this, but I think I made the right call.
Ultimately we all have to make decisions and live with the consequences.
Had to think long and hard about the games that really got me good
My phone is always super finnicky with charging cords and I often need to hold or angle it at very particular ways for it to charge, but is otherwise perfectly fine. Getting a cheapo charging dock has been way easier to make sure it charges consistently than taking it somewhere to get looked at.
god... they look so happy....
Absolutely devastated to have to deliver this news.
I have loved working at BuzzFeed so much but I have to stand up for what I believe in.
Please DO NOT send hate to anyone!
If anything changes regarding this, I will let you know.

There has to be a root cause behind it all. Follow the source 👁️🕵️
I feel like 40 years from now there's gonna be a true crime "Chernobyl" style drama outlining the root cause of why all the web comic artists from the 90s and early 00s all wound up ... Just sorta like that.
I miss the wide open frontier of webcomics, but I don't miss the snafu-comics and shredded-moose where the punchlines were like "and then I murdered Paris Hilton with hammers" or "literally just quoting a family guy sketch but while holding a gun"
The closest thing I think anyone's heard was from their ex telling Kiwifarms Shmorky went back to their elderly parents and is living in a trailer with them, completely avoiding the internet. But that ex had a lot of stuff going on themselves, and is not a very reliable narrator.
Cocaine is the true drug of capitalism because every "cool" magazine in the 1970s had a section absolutely fuckin chock full of kitschy coke-accessory crapola

Hi folks, these days, when someone is having a health issue, it's referred to as an "opportunity," so let's go with that – I'm having one of those. It's also called a type of cancer that's “treatable” not "curable." I apologize if that's a shock – it was to me too. The good news is, I'm not gonna go into any more detail. I'm posting this, because professionally, a few things will have to change - appearances and cons and work in general need to take back seat to treatment. My plan is to get as well as I possibly can over the summer so that I can tour with my new movie Ernie & Emma this fall. There are several cons this year summer that I have to cancel. Big regrets on my part. Treatment needs and professional obligations don't always go hand-in-hand. That's about it. I'm not trying enlist sympathy-or advice-Ijust want to get ahead of this information in case false information gets out (which it will). Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch and I have great support, so I expect to be around a while. As always, you're the greatest fans in the world and I hope to see you soon! Much love, Bruce Campbell

“Everything on the site is treated like COVID waves. They talk about AI like it’s COVID.” this is a brilliant observation
📽️📺 Named for a classic #StarTrek torture device, The Agony Booth was a cult site for brutally honest movie & TV reviews.
Running from the early 2000s until 2022, it chronicled pop culture pain for a generation.

FYI for fellow narrative designers/game writers: the studio in question is Sentona Games and it’s my understanding they are currently interviewing to replace me. Be very careful with them. They were very nice to me and easy to work with right up until I needed the money I was promised.
I think that's pretty common among the generation of deviantart kids who kinda came to these social sites for friends and hobbies and then witnessed it became possible to become, like, famous and lucrative off being interesting. Idk, I relate to what you're saying here a lot
Very funny to me, also, that "The Arsenal of Freedom" is the name of an episode in Star Trek TNG where autonomous AI weapons killed an entire civilization and there's a sales hologram still on the planet trying to sell them. it was originally a commentary in the sale of F-14 Tomcats to Iran(!)
Tatjana Wood R.I.P. What an fabulous colourist she was. To take but her work on Swamp Thing: in what may just be the greatest monthly comic ever, her contribution was every bit the equal as that of her illustrious colleagues. And Swamp Thing was no easy book to colour. My cap is doffed with respect.
comic fury has been an amazing, indie run comic host that has lasted for 17 years for a reason. comics will help comics. at the end of the day, we have each other.
This attitude of “well, I’ll vote to stop MAGA but only if I don’t have to compromise any of my values” demonstrates a lack of urgency about the situation that I simply cannot relate to. “We deserve better”—ok. Maybe after we stop the fascist takeover I’ll have emotional space for that.
so as it turns out
AI has ruined preservation too
because guess what all of those servers need that's unaffordable now
that's right, storage!
the "just asking questions" to "legitimate questions about fairness in sports" to "the state doesn't have to consider us as real people" pipeline working exactly as designed.
