I think I found it. It's a... something. Moldering out there. I've got it soaking in cleaner and that will take care of that side of the room when I get it done.
I'm gonna immediately stuff my clothes in the washer and shower when I'm done.
@libraryfaery
Library cryptid disguised as a Director. historian, textile artist, craft dabbler. Go read a book - you really need to do so. Read a lot of books - learn something outside of your confirmation bias. The crows demand it. And go outside.

She's decided that everything we ever need to know, read, watch, do can be found on the internet or our phones.
But Internet and cell signal is not available in all parts of the county due to the mountains.
She's forgotten all the other things we loan. Hope she can machine sew with her phone.
How I feel when somebody blocks me.
In the meantime, there is something dead in either the laundry porch - or gods forbid - under the house.
The laundry porch gets a thorough cleaning this morning to find the source.
And I'm having fish stick for breakfast. Don't judge me.
A local woman stated we should close all the county libraries and fund a water park for the kids with that money.
I looked up how much water parks cost to build.
It would take the county 125 to 500 YEARS to fund a water park based on the amount they spend to fund FOUR libraries for a year.
Good job, Button!
Button's mom and dad - get a blanket for the couch, and some more toys for your boy!
Spring!
Oh, if you really want to go back in time - Vietnam.
And all the "police actions" since.
OH, those weren't the good old days, not by a long shot. Just a time when the purposefully ignorant were reaping the effects of their ignorance, instead of the rest of us suffering.
Golden colored background framed with a variety of elements from the story, including shells, a cat, gemstones, cups of tea and the silhouettes of a man and a woman. Titled "The Scandalous Confessions of Lydia Bennet, Witch" by Melinda Taub
Here's some fun reading. Another excellent twist to the Austin original; not dragons or zombies this time, but witches.
And the focus on the least talked about sister, unless it relates to her scandal.
Worth a read even if you didn't like the original story.

Grammar police on Bluesky? FFS folks, get over it. You knew what they mean in order to so pompously correct it.
Like anyone needs that right now outside of their middle school classes.
We're not in middle school, we are adults who fully understand what people are saying.
I long for the days when they were taking horse Ivermectin.
OK - not a war- yet.
It's the preamble to war.
Sometimes, dark humor is the only way people are getting through all of this without offing themselves. You can walk past it.
In fact, it's the only way a lot of us are getting through. I'm sorry you're offended, but I guess I'm saying I'm offended at you not allowing others to cope and not die.
Well, I'll be clear on this - if I multi-post, with many parts, I'm probably making more than one point.
If someone responds only one one point on one one of those multi-posts, and creates a subthread, I'm not offended. I encourage it.
Why should you be offended on my behalf? It's odd.
Excellent choice - she was a hell of a woman.
The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive
Thank you for the link.
But if people are surprised, they've not been paying attention.
For the whole rest of the day.
Sigh.
Fall down, go boom.
Bah - I'm so tired of people.
I used to live in the far end of Jeffco, right on the Park county line. Every time we has a snowstorm, every banana in King Soopers, Safeway, Walmart, Albertsons (when there still was one in Evergreen), even Vitamin Cottage - gone. Bought out.
No idea why - so it became a joke essential.
I still gage everything off the 77 Blizzard in WNY, and the 83 blizzard in Colorado.๐
Of course, I live in the south now, so when we got 13 -15 inches in my town two weeks ago, it was a big damn deal.
Sympathies, stay safe, don't forget the bananas.
Good morning to you too!
Every morning.
My husband flies in two weeks - luckily, or airport is small so he won't get stuck with this on the way out. The way back may be "fun".
Damn - I thought I had some odd stories, being an out of the way really rural library, but this wins - you got listed by a scamming company!
Guess it's time to put a statement on your website about this you can point people to.
In the almost as cold South (this week, most of the month) we get a fall break that coincides with harvest, and then spring break near Easter. In the West, you get Christmas and Spring. And oddly, as a kid in WNY, we got Christmas and Spring for the long breaks - nothing else. Must be regional.
Blackburn would be triggered by the frog on my Library hat.
I so hate that she's part of this state's government. She needs to go.
