After having tweeted about his willingness to attack Iran weeks ago, the arrival of the US carrier group plus the extremely high number of killed protesters being mentioned in mainstream media outlets makes it seem more likely than not IMHO, that attacks are imminent.
Let's hope incompetence will be their downfall.
IMHO, the current US administration wants a select number of local riots to materialise, not too many that can't be "contained", but just the right number so that they can go down the martial law route and set nefarious examples.
IMHO, the Trump administration is following a two pronged tactic regarding ICE. Either they succeed in getting the wider populace used to their new modus operandi, which would be a success for them, or they are just waiting for protests to spread so they can go down the martial law route.
