The last time the US demanded unconditional surrender, they had to drop two nuclear bombs to achieve it. Godspeed humanity.

Why is it so easy to prioritize, but so hard to nationalise? We're being held hostage by decisions made by previous generations.

He is essentially making the argument for Sortition. Replace Congress with a group of randomly selected citizens from the same districts. Give them two years, and shuffle them back into society. It's like jury duty, and gives the American people a less corruptible voice in Government.

Authentic country music. Before the 80s introduced lyrics that read like Hallmark greeting cards, or Republican National Convention stump speeches.

I for one welcome the second coming of Christ so long as he comes and brings a conclusive end to this insanity.

All great artists! I was lucky enough to see JT play a small show in London. He was incredible. I wish I had seen him again. His death was a sad shock. Townes was actually his godfather, and middle name sake.

I don't disagree, but how in the hell will they give it back to American families? It's hard not to see this as just another corporate windfall for corporate interests? Use that money to nationalise healthcare.

I am so disappointed and disillusioned with the Olympic movement right now. The games no longer stand for promoting peace and mutual respect. They're purely commercial using athletics to dominate instead of developing a global community or building solidarity for marginalised people. No thanks.

I used to love watching the Winter Olympics. But the world has changed so much since the last games when Russia was building up forces on the Ukrainian border. The world is currently not what the Olympic ethos suggests it should be. Our priorities are all messed up. But on with the show, right?

Society's obsession with winning and the gamification of everything in life has turned people into miserable gits that have forgotten how to actually live in the world they’ve essentially conquered.
