In the older trains, kids would typically stay at the front/back to get a driver's view of the train tracks. In the new Mark V trains, there's a sticker saying kids are not allowed here, and the staff at the stations are very aggressive about not letting kids there (I wish they were that aggressive about people who pee and smoke). What's the reasoning for banning the kids from having fun in the driver's seat?

It is not lost on me the irony of the provincial government building a subway line telling people to drive to nearby businesses all the while existing transit is getting the shaft by this detour.

They could say "take transit", but nope, they're telling you to drive instead.

If the mayor is saying he didn't verify the photo, how can we residents of Vancouver be confident in his ability to discern between reality and fact in anything he's presented with?

If he is suggesting that this is his level of intelligence, then what else could he be convinced to believe?

In light of Sim saying that he said Orr dealt drugs based on seeing a mystery photo from a mystery person, I think it’s important to reflag this.

If this is an uncharitable interpretation, the mayor is free to provide more details of how he ended up seeing such a photo and believing it.

The fact that the West Coast Express can run outside of its usual norms tells me that with political will there is a way to run the trains much better than they currently are already.

The cop budget has doubled under our current mayor meanwhile there is no money for them to provide traffic control so fees must go up.

The Vancouver Police Department would rather have more time for its officers to harass the poor than provide traffic control with its inflated budget.

In high school, I had a string attached to a ballpoint pen. One time, I began to spin the pen in the air as I was reading through some worksheet. My classmate caught that the pen's blue ink was being pushed out and was spraying the floor and the ceiling.

I don't know why I just recalled this.

I cross this street several times a week and each time I do, I pull out my phone to record the intersection as I wait.
