I got placed at a high school for my TESL field experience this semester! 🙌 I am SO excited! HS placements aren’t common, so I’m thrilled about this!
I started this journey subbing in a high school, and the ENL teachers I worked with are why I got interested in TESOL.
I needed this good news!
Things are tentatively on the upswing, but I am afraid to be hopeful; as that is usually when the other shoe drops like a nuclear bomb.

I’ve been drowning in my grad program; but after dropping 2 of 4 classes, I’m finally able to see the light and keep my head above water.

It’s surreal to put in the work that is graduate school while under a fascist regime.
DHS and MAGA are spreading propaganda claiming the Minneapolis driver tried to run over ICE. That claim is completely false. Multiple videos from different angles (recorded by people on the scene) clearly show that this did not happen. ICE killed a US citizen. Justice is required for this killing.
Now that I am once again separated and divorcing—reemerging at the epicenter of my reconstruction—the universe is telling me to complete it.

I’m behind in my graduate studies thanks to improperly medicated ADHD, but I’m working hard to get caught up.
Graduate school is hell. Amazing, challenging, intellectually stimulating, hell, but hell nonetheless.
