Rachel Handlin is possibly the first person with Down syndrome to receive an MFA, and one of few to hold a bachelor’s degree. Her first solo show features portraits of people with Down syndrome across the globe who have graduated from two- or four-year colleges. nyti.ms/3OVlkp9

And each new cohort of nurses will continue to suffer the consequences because these learning-resistant a-holes at the top refuse to mandate masking in healthcare settings and invest in air purification. Masking is a tool of the trade. SARS2 & other viruses are still debilitating people. Mask up!

Do we have queer, chronically ill, and disabled folks (including scientists who I’m told are people too) over on Mastodon too or no?

I made a personal account on mastodon and so far it’s all scientists and mathematicians posting about coffee and science (which is great) but I’m not sure if that’s all I’m seeing because I used my real name and some IRL contacts and the algorithm is algorithming.

Do I need to be on Mastodon? Are we using BluSky and Mastodon for different things? Is Threads a real thing that we’re doing?

I always thought I was “just tired” but now I know it’s because

(1) my brain doesn’t send signals to my body to keep blood flowing to itself (neurogenic #OH) and

(2) my connective tissues aren’t holding my head up very well so my muscles have to over work to do so! (#hEDS)
