A rather sobering game of Chain of Command 2 this evening. Soviet SMG platoon vs German Panzer Grenadiers. 'Just couldn't get the dice combinafions to suit the Soviets and also forgot all about repositioning! An easy victory for @stormofsteel.bsky.social . Good game.

Having done an E Series platoon, I've added a D Series one to my US Marines for Chain of Command 2. Also additional mortar, LMG, HMG, dog and engineer teams as well as a Raider squad. 15mm figures.

After some advice. Almost completed these 15mm US Marines. The bases are currently natural sand. I am wondering whether to leave as is, highlight paint a brighter sand and or add some tufts/ flock. Any views? I'll be adding coloured tufts to some to mark out officers and NCOs.

'Marines. Thousands of 'em!' Slight exaggeration but I've got two platoons with supports progressing the workbench. Ultimately for Chain of Command 2. A mix of Battlefront, Eureka and Peter Pig minis.

Oh, interesting. I was comtemplating Midgard in 15mm but using 28mm base and distances with just more minis on the base.

Game end and the Faughs and Skins did not manage to take the bridge. An aggressive German defence stalled the Kangaroo Army advance comprehensively. Chain of Command 2.

The buildings are all 3d prints, mostly via Highland Printd ( on Ebay UK) and Battle Honours. Other bits and pieces a mix of scratch builds and prints. Hedging and roads by Fat Frank (again Ebay UK) tarted up with Green Stuff World shrubbery.

I may pass on painting sweaty armpits on 15mm minis!

Completely unnecessary but a little bit of icing to bling up the game cake.

My biggest decision is what uniform to go with. Camo seems both variable and period and location specific.

Thank you. He's a curious figure to include so adding him to the replen point seemed the most logical option.

Several of the scenes I found evocative of other films like Apocalypse Now and Das Boot. Odd in a 'tank' movie.
