68. Ebirah, Horror of the Deep. One of my favourite Godzilla films. Has some wonderful imagery when a boat first encounters Ebirah at the start. And Ebirah himself feels like one of the most dangerous opponents for Godzilla. Their fights are great. Plus, Mothra! And I love Mothra. #365games

I thought the Australian Grand Prix was a lot of fun. Great battle between Mercedes and Ferrari at the start. Let’s see where the rest of the season goes.

67. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. My second favourite Trek film. Get me in the right mood, I might even say favourite. It’s a magnificent swan song for the TOS crew, with some great effects stuff, and classic Star Trek political commentary. I love it. #365films

I once spent a good hour explaining Onslaught to some friends after we saw X-Men 2 at the cinema. That was harder than explaining that people can love and be who they want to my three-year old.

I see Royal Mail are raising postage prices again in April. This is now basically a bi-annual gouge, with no explanation of why the rises are necessary. Disastrous for small creators and business. Since Royal Mail was privatised in 2013 first class prices have gone from 60p to £1.80 per item.

I'm too bored of this to try and be clever about it anymore.

If you think that two men kissing, or two women kissing, requires any more explanation than a man kissing a woman, that is homophobia.

66. The Batman. After the rubbish Snyderverse DCU films, getting a good Bat film felt huge. And it wasn’t entirely a return to the Nolan, gritty realism take. Something about The Batman feels heightened to me. I could buy Superman existing in the same world, in a way I couldn’t with Nolan. #365films

They've now killed four people -- three U.S. citizens and a Mexican national. They've shot several more.

They've lied about all of them. They haven't shaded the truth. They haven't "misled" us. They've brazenly, knowingly lied while in possession of the evidence disproving their lies.

Once I finish my Godzilla omnibus, I shall be reading a comic I’ve wanted to read for years.

Some basic tenets for media literacy:

1. Depicting something is not automatically glorifying it.
2. Lies written in dialogue should not be taken as objective fact/the creator’s worldview just because it’s the main character saying them.
3. Finding a villain compelling/cool isn’t a moral failing.

Born to Run opening with Thunder Road, and closing with Jungleland just feels unfair on other albums.

Still not convinced that this is actually new Firefly and not just a reunion show, but the involvement of Adam Baldwin is a real shame. Half expecting another video tomorrow of Fillion knocking on Whedon’s door, in which case the whole thing, and everyone involved, can fuck off.

65. X-Men. The director and one of he writers are awful people, which has taken some of the shine off this movie. But it is a fun film, which introduced some iconic takes on some great characters. Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman were all perfect casting. #365films

Garage is a particularly egregious example of this, but he's not the only one making fortunes from other gigs while not doing his primary job as MP. Ban this, or at least cap it, as Unlock Democracy suggests. It'd make being an MP slightly less appealing to total grifters.
