Oldest tadpole
Youngest tadpole
All three tads have front legs now! Here's pics of the oldest and youngest tads from today. The oldest tad is visibly smaller, and its tail is about 40% of the size of the youngest one, as it has not eaten for about 2 weeks now while it reabsorbs its tail, and changes its mouth type

Thank you! i hope you make a shrimp tank of your own too!
give in. here's mine!
gorgeous! our potted plants only exist in the living room so that has constrained how many we can have. this was an intentional constraint, but i still managed to accumulate 45+ pots of plants lol. whoopsies.
we had some leftover bean dip from a party so we did that + some ground beef + some pickled onion. a very back of the fridge taco
i also had tacos today! a very taco sunday
this is both pete and i anytime one of us parallel parks on the first try haha
oh yeah, theres always yellowed and dead leaves to clean up, plants that are declining and could use a repot, plants that could be split, etc etc. my partner had to stop me because i probably could have kept going for another 2 hours haha. what plants do you have these days?
I started a few plant chores while my partner was at the dentist just for "an hour or so." It's been 3 hours and im still fluttering around finding more plants to clean up lol
ive always wanted to keep some nothobranchius sp. killifish! yours are gorgeous
you should! i didnt start with any orange shrimp but now i have one thats super bright orange. it was cool. it definitely keeps my attention more than single colour shrimp tanks.
some of the different coloured shrimp from my 7g cube. Getting a skittles mix of shrimp colours has created some pretty fun iSpy moments in the tank. I'd say about 15% of the shrimp are wild-type, while the rest have a veriety of fun colours and patterns. I'd recommend it!
Two yellow cichlid with black stripes facing each other head on with their mouths wide open in a planted aquarium.
Many people think that female cichlids donβt fight, but thatβs far from true. π #photography #fishkeeping
Clove oil. Heres a good step by step guide. farmerandthefishnyc.com/how-to-eutha...
Diluting the clove with an ethanol solution first is a crucial step that many aquarists neglect. The clove oil stock solution should be stored in a dark container, as eugenol degrades under light exposure.
Scientists off the coast of Argentina found a rare giant phantom jelly 820 feet below the ocean's surface. The phantom jelly can grow as long as a school bus and was first discovered in 1899.
mooneye are such an underappreciated fish, i didnt think id ever see art of them! thanks for giving them a spotlight here
Good luck! It is always satisfying to turn an old tank back into a blank slate full of possibilities. Iwagumi style tanks are always very cool when people get them into balance.
theyre gorgeous! which fish do you have that eats them? i mostly keep nano fish so i love lesrning about the bigger guys
An update on my office aquarium π
I dont love the wood placement (need to add or remove a piece), but I'm liking the addition of the red tiger lotus, as I think the fish and shrimp feel bolder with the shade and cover it provides.
Left is how it looks today, right is how it looked in December.
do yoy know what plants you put in there? using foraged plants and materials in a terrarium is always fun
please share progress pics of this one, or pics of other terrariums/plants you have and like! its always fun seeing what others do

I'll never get over the amazing hunting strategy of this #fish. Shooting water up to 2m to knock insects off vegetation.
