For those interested in the tectonics: this earthquake occurred near the Mendocino triple junction where 2 strike slip transform faults and a subduction zone meet: the Cascadia subduction zone to the north, the San Andreas fault to the south and the Mendocino transform fault to the west ๐งชโ๏ธ

8 broadband and 10 nodes deployed across the Highland Boundary Fault in the last 4 days for the CATERAN deployment - not bad for a time of year when there's only 7hr 40mins between ๐ and ๐. Temperatures ranged from -4C to 12C! Massive thanks to @seismodave.bsky.social, Iona, Mark, Mike, and Andy!

Two deployed Certimus seismometers and my first ever node deployment - fieldwork in ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ is spooky in the fog - hares, deer, robin, red squirrel. Fun day helping @seismoamy.bsky.social, Karen & Alissa on their CATERAN project ๐
