Decided to play through each region once in the lead-up to Winds & Waves. Started my first Kanto play through the other day (excluding the Let’s Go games), and can’t decide whether to play Crystal or SoulSilver next.
Sounds good! I’ll have to check out the soundtrack while it’s on my backlog
I thought I wasn’t into turn based RPGs (except for Mario and Pokémon ones). But, I’m such a sucker for the HD-2D art-style, so I finally tried Octopath Traveller II last year, and it rapidly became one of my top 3 fav games of all time. Almost all the stories broke me at some point (in a good way!)
How’s the soundtrack? I started Dragon Quest 11 S (what would’ve been my first Dragon Quest game), but the battle music was so grating (shallow, I know, and I’ll definitely get back to it at some point, but I love video game music, so a not-so-good one makes me sad)

Honestly that’s totally fair - LM3 I put as my favorite Mario game, but I’m not a cat person, so I wasn’t bothered in the same way

I finally decided to give it a chance (started playing about 2 weeks ago). I’m not hugely into RPGs (pretty much just the Mario ones and Pokémon), but I’m OBSESSED! I’m about 30 hours in, and it’s rocketed into probably my top 10 favourite games of all time
