That’s the idea since it’s a heavily used crosswalk with the park right there. It’s already protected by design, so giving people a few extra seconds is always ideal!

I’m everywhere! Also, this is a great spot to get a slightly longer walk if you need it!

This intersection has been a passion project since I started with the department so I’m glad to see this through to completion. I’ll have some more pictures of the completed project next week!

The Province (thanks to Kyle Miller) continues to make life saving and serious injury preventing changes at signalised intersections.
This is at George Street & Regional Hospital Blvd in Sydney, CB, where retired librarian Ian MacIntosh was struck and killed while crossing.
